February 2016 Client of the Month
Betsy came to us in June of 2013 seeking a fitness program to help her get off her BP medication and to help her make exercise a lifelong habit in order to lose weight and tone up. By committing to training 3 times per week and changing her eating habits Betsy has successfully lost over 10 lb and 4 inches and kept it off. Betsy has lowered her blood pressure and resting heart rate, increased her total body strength, cardio capacity and flexibility. Even more important is the noticeable shift in Betsy’s mind set, she is committed to making exercise a permanent lifestyle change. As a former dancer Betsy loves rhythmic movements and step routines. She brings a positive attitude to every session and looks forward to coming in to train (except when she has to do a front plank ☺). She now views exercise as a way of life. Betsy also encouraged her husband Doug to join Fredericksburg Fitness and now Doug comes in to train once per week and completes at home exercise on the other days. Betsy was recently diagnosed with Atrial Flutter and she is currently in the process of learning how to cope with the frustrations of heart rate irregularities and bouts of tachycardia. However, Betsy did not let this derail her efforts at living a fit and healthy lifestyle. In fact, Betsy would even come in to train wearing a bulky holter monitor! I am so proud of the progress Betsy has made since joining and truly believe that by choosing to make fitness a priority Betsy is happier and healthier than ever before. Betsy will continue to reap the benefits of improved health, both mind and body, because of her dedication! Congratulations on being chosen our February 2016 Client of the Month!
